Prior to pursuing a career in design, Dave was a member of the Canadian Cross-Country Ski Team. He participated in eight World Championships and alternate at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. He earned a Bachelor of Design with Honours from York University and Sheridan College in Toronto with formal training in fine arts, graphic design, and interactive media. He graduated with Magna Cum Laude and won the prestigious Vanier Vingt-Deux Honour Roll award for his GPA.
